What
is this site about?
This site was developed to make available a new technology that will allow
your company to print business cards and other personalized promotional
products economically and on demand.
How would this technology be used to print business cards?
Your custom, password protected site would be created and put on line.
After entering the site you would have a choice of creating a new
employee record or looking up an existing employees information on
a database. You then simply enter the new or corrected information
on the form, view the card on the screen, and submit the order.
If desired, you can print a laser proof of the card on
your own printer. The high resolution file of your business card
template would be residing on our digital press. The new
information you have submitted is merged on the press with the
designated card template. The quantity of cards you ordered
are printed and shippped within 48 hours after approval.
How does the process work?
An Internet2Press site is developed for your company.
In this password protected site, a data entry form appears for you
to enter new employee information, or you may choose to query a
database of existing employees for re-ordering or changing cards.
Your company card would already be on file, so it is simply a matter
of changing or adding the information you wish to appear on the
business card. After all relevant information is input, a simulation
of the card will appear on your monitor for proofing. When all
information looks right, simply click the submit button. This information
is saved to a database and simultaneously passed to our Indigo
digital press for printing. The Indigo press is truly digital,
meaning that there is no film or plates.
Who would make the selections that create the business cards?
Each
company site is password protected. How many people within your
organization you allow to have this password is up to you. You
can have one or two business card administrators who control the
ordering, or you can empower all employees to order their own, and
have the cards approved by an administrator prior to submitting.
Because all decisions are determined in advance, and customization
is quick and easily accessible, you can make this function available
to those in your organization who need it most.
How
long does it take to get a password protected site?
Most
basic sites take less than one week to be developed and approved.
Once your Internet2Press site is up and ready for business,
your jobs can be printed, shipped or mailed within 48 hours!
Is
it possible to track usage?
Absolutely! Since access to your Internet2Press site would be
controlled by password entry codes, we can create dynamic web
pages that allow you to track total usage and even break out
usage on the basis of the password entered and the date ordered.
You could set limits on the amount printed per day, per week,
or per month in total or by individual.
How does it compare to conventional printing?
We are very competitive! Compare these prices with what you
are paying now, and add on how much it is costing you per day
for each day you are waiting for your "bargain business
cards".
Can I use an existing database for re-ordering?
Yes!
Your company site will have a database listing all prior cards
ordered for your employees. So if Jane Smith in Sales needs 500
more cards, just go to the Internet2Press site, enter your company
password, find Janes name in the database, click on a
quantity of 500 and submit! Its that easy!
How many can I print?
We normally offer quantities of 250, 500 and 1000.
What about spot colors?
In most cases PMS spot colors are simulated using the four
process colors. If the match for a specific PMS color is critical
and the volume being printed would warrant it, our press is designed
to run up to six colors.
What paper choices do I have?
We can
print uncoated and coated stock in dull and gloss surfaces from 65
lb text weight to 12 pt cover weight.
What is the line screen?
The Indigo
digital press can print at three line screens: 144, 195, and
225 lines per inch.
What is the sheet size?
Printing
on a 12x18 inch sheet, the Indigo press can bleed an 11x17 inch spread.
The business card sizes are a standard 3x2.5 inches.
