Spotlight RecipeCesar Millan's Caramelized French ToastCaramelized French Toast Challah or brioche bread, cut into 1” slices Mix egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a shallow dish. Dip bread into mixture and soak 10-15 seconds on each side. Heat a pan or electrical griddle with butter and vegetable oil, and fry bread until the first side is light brown. Sprinkle about a half tablespoon granulated sugar on the top (raw) side of the bread to caramelize. Flip the bread, sugar side down, and fry until golden brown. Then, sprinkle another half tablespoon of sugar on the cooked side, and flip it over again to caramelize both sides.
