Printing Quiz

When your printer mentions registration marks, they mean...

1. A list of printed materials registered for copyright.
2. Marks on the edges of a printing plate for trimming paper.
3. Crosshairs used to align color separations.

Answer: Registration marks in printing are small symbols or lines placed outside the trim area of a printed piece to ensure proper alignment of different color layers during the printing process. They help maintain accuracy and consistency, especially in offset printing.
